Kristy Yule - I am the founder and CEO of 10K Marketing, a marketing strategist, a big-picture thinker and a challenger of ideas!
I have led marketing teams for over 15 years and developed a track record of sales, marketing & innovative strategies that resulted in repeated industry accolades. I’ve survived working in corporate America and am proud to have earned a Masters of Real Estate (M.I.R.M.) from NAHB and undergrad degrees in International Business from the University of Georgia (Go DAWGS!) and Psychology from Georgia State.
My passion of passions is helping people understand and solve their business problem (deeper understanding of their customer, seize a market need or streamline their business process) so they can grow their businesses.
“I have known Kristy for over a decade and have been fortunate to experience her leadership skills and marketing talents first hand. What Kristy uniquely offers is an acute understanding of messaging strategies and product development, a rare combination of talents. Her keen consideration and understanding of the target demographic is apparent at every point of consumer interaction.” Ray Bouley, President/CEO, Full Circle
“Kristy is a take charge individual who truly makes the world move faster in the sales and marketing arena. She is able and willing to evaluate the facts and reach a conclusion on the information collected that is both well -informed and clear in direction.” Bryan Cohen, President, Touchstone Homes
Bev Day – I have a good sense of the pulse of the consumer. I can translate market research from a mind-boggling number of sources into relevant insights and into actionable next steps. Becoming the go-to expert on the target consumer is a specialty of mine.
I am highly skilled in developing win/win relationships between partners that don’t often work well together, if at all. Examples include building a strong, mutually beneficial relationship between Lindora Weight Clinics and Rite Aid as we launched the first retail mini-clinics in Southern California. I also partnered with Vons and Allergan while at Lindora. At Carl’s Jr. and El Pollo Loco, I worked successfully with franchisees as a representative of the corporate market research department.
I have over 20 years of retail branding experience with companies such as Safeway and Carl’s Jr., including groundbreaking marketing initiatives to the Hispanic market. I also helped to successfully test and launch an entirely new retail category of home decorating superstores. “The Thrill of the Hunt” was our mantra and our customers loved it!!
“While working together on various projects, Beverly was very creative, detail oriented, eager in her goals, and excellent in her dealings with the customer. Her bright ideas and follow through were a valuable asset to the team. Her enthusiastic personality and team style management skills were motivating to all she worked with. I would highly recommend Beverly for any marketing, advertising, or creative project work needed. You will be glad to have her as part of your team.” Kathryn Ayres, Applications Development Director, Lindora Weight Loss Clinics
Emily Barahona – I am a creative thinker, an innovator, a graphic designer, a web designer, and what many clients call…“The Branding Guru”.
I have been working in design and marketing for over 10 years after graduating from Cornell University with a major in Design and Development and a minor in Marketing. After working for multiple design and development firms in Indianapolis, I first appeared on the local scene as Marketing Manager at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, before starting my own business as a freelance designer and consultant serving a wide variety of clients in the Triangle. I returned to the workforce for a year as Director of Marketing at Newhope Church to gain experience in the non-profit sector, and have since helped many non-profits develop and/or update their brand.
Branding is all about self expression. I believe that in order to express the best message for your organization, you must truly understand your identity and most importantly, your “why”, your reason for existing. I am passionate about helping local businesses and non-profits understand their reason for doing what they do and helping them to express it in their branding so that they attract the right customers for life. Knowing what you believe in and then attracting people who also believe in what you believe is the ultimate goal in branding, and is not only what I desire most for my client, but is a desire that extends throughout my life for myself and those I care about.
“Our firm engaged Emily for a broad based project to include a re-design of our corporate logo, brand materials, website and other customer facing collateral. Throughout the engagement, Emily proved to be creative, detail oriented and able to develop fresh ideas and concepts based on collected information. Emily is passionate about the quality and integrity of her work. We look at Emily as our in house graphic artist and designer – one of the team!” Shayne Ruffing, Owner and Managing Director, Integrated Wealthcare
“Emily is one of those people a business or non-profit hopes will come along and bring her talent, skills, heart and perspective. We found a treasure and a rescue when she came on board and helped us take the next leg of the journey with our branding, social media and project management. Emily got very acquainted very quickly with our organization and our hopes for the future. She is a great listener and honored our team with a significant amount of fact gathering and understanding of our story before she began to engage in solving problems and helping us move forward. I have worked with many people over the years and had a multitude of volunteers, consultants, sub-contractors and employees, but what I so appreciate about Emily is her ability to receive others’ ideas and opinions and graft them into the creative process. I believe Emily’s greatest strengths are her Creativity, her abilities to Innovate, Inspire, and Encourage, and her heart to Help.” Michael Thompson, President and Director Zoweh Ministries
“Emily does an excellent job working alongside her clients with enthusiasm in fulfilling their branding needs. She establishes a lasting partnership with her clients ensuring that she meets their personal goals in branding. I enjoy working with her because no job is too big or too small and she puts all her energy and artistic talents into her work!” Rebekah Castillo, Founder of GAMAE non-profit
